Presenting

If you would like to present at the Annual Educating for Careers Conference on February 27 – March 1, 2022, please read this page and click the "submit your presentation" button. California Partnership Academies presenters must also submit an online application. The deadline for presentation proposals is November 30, 2021.

Presenters can choose to present virtually, in person, or both.

Presentation Length

Sessions chosen for Sunday, February 27, 2022, will be 90 minutes in the morning and the afternoon sessions. The Monday and Tuesday sessions will each be 75 minutes in length. Each presenter must be willing to make their presentation two times during the conference if requested by the Conference Committee. Confirmation of proposal acceptance will be sent no later than December 10, 2021.

Special Note to Presenters

A limited number of presenters can be listed in the program due to space limitations. Please include only those presenters that you have confirmed.

AS THE LEAD PRESENTER YOU WILL SERVE AS THE PRIMARY CONTACT FOR ALL CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING SESSION PROPOSAL ACCEPTANCE, SCHEDULE, CHANGES, AND ROOM NOTIFICATION. It will be your responsibility to communicate all information in a timely manner to all co-presenters listed.

As a presenter, if you or your organization sell programs, products, or services (including independent or freelance consulting services), you may be required to purchase space in the Exhibit Hall and at the very least be listed as a vendor in all conference materials. This policy is consistent with our understanding of what participants expect when they attend the annual conference - namely that they are not confronted with commercialism and/or sales pitches, however subtle, in sessions they choose to attend. We feel that the Exhibit Hall is the appropriate place for further contact between presenters and participants, and that requiring commercially affiliated presenters to exhibit is the best way we ensure that commercialism is contained in the appropriate setting. We know that the successful generation of business leads for commercial ventures makes exhibiting worthwhile.

Materials

• Each presenter will be responsible for their individual materials. FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, PRESENTERS CAN PREPARE A MINIMUM OF 75 COPIES OF HANDOUT MATERIALS PER SESSION IF THE PRESENTER CHOOSES.
•  ALL presenters should upload PowerPoint presentations and handouts on the website prior to the conference date. Instructions will be provided.
